In collaboration with Memorial Medical Clinics of Carthage, Illinois, our on-campus medical clinic provides a wide range of services, including pediatric care, medication management, and behavioral health services for residents of Chaddock. Our resolve is to provide residents of Chaddock with quality, holistic care in a comfortable and familiar setting during their treatment here. The benefits of our campus-based clinic include less time missed from school and programming, seamless collaboration between medical and behavioral health providers and the treatment teams. Having a clinic on campus also allows residents to experience less stress when anticipating or attending appointments and to feel more comfortable discussing their needs and concerns with medical staff they are familiar with. Chaddock's residents still utilize local community resources for emergency care and when speciality care is needed.

Our Providers

Chaka Batley

Dr. Chaka Batley, DNP, FPA-APRN, PMHNP-BC, CPNP-PC, MBA

Dr. Chaka Batley joined Memorial Medical Clinic in June 2022 to pursue an opportunity to serve local children seeking care and support in mental health. Dr. Batley began her career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2011. Since that time Dr. Batley has enjoyed serving the children and families of the surrounding areas.

Dr. Batley is board certified as a Nurse Practitioner in both Pediatric Primary

Care and Psychiatric Mental Health for the lifespan. Dr. Batley earned both her Master of Science in Nursing-Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (2011) and her Doctor of Nursing

Practice (2013) degrees from The University of Iowa. Dr. Batley is board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Dr. Batley completed her Post-Masters Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in 2019, and she is board certified through the American Nursing Credentialing Center.

Dr. Batley has served the local community over the last 12 years as a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. The journey of pursuing additional education in mental health occurred as a result of Dr. Batley’s experience serving families in primary care and witnessing the prominent needs within the community for access to mental health and substance use services. Dr. Batley’s current role involves building relationships with children and families within the community to provide integrated care, while championing whole person wellness.

Dr. Batley volunteers in several leadership roles in her local community, at the state level, and nationally; to encourage others to pursue their inner passion. Dr. Batley is dedicated to being a positive role model for future generations and she takes pride in enhancing the profession of nursing through leading. Dr. Batley is married to her wonderful husband of eighteen years, has six children, and two grandchildren. She is diligent in using the opportunities placed before her to inspire others to learn from adversity and to embrace our individuality; discovering we are all created to make a difference.

Kolleen Burnett

Dr. Kolleen Burnett, D.O. FACOP, FAAP

Kolleen Burnett, D.O., FACOP, FAAP, joined the Memorial Hospital team in May 2023. Dr. Burnett specializes in Pediatrics .

Dr. Burnett began her career as a Pediatrician in 2002. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Med) from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Then she attended Midwestern University – Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, where she received her doctorate. She is board certified in Pediatrics.

Dr. Burnett’s role will involve seeing patients ages newborn to twenty-one. Her clinical interest includes having a passion for Endocrine Disorders in kids and Mental Health issues, including ADHD. Dr. Burentt has served the local community over the last ten years as a practicing pediatrician. Dr. Burnett is excited to bring excellent pediatric care to Hancock County, as she loves all aspects of pediatrics. In addition, she is excited to welcome some of her previous patients as well as new patients.

Dr. Burnett truly believes that children are not little adults, they deserve specialized care, and she is so happy to be able to provide that and see all her patient’s medical milestones. She loves being able to share with patients and their loved ones and truly believes that being a Pediatrician is a privilege and a blessing.

Dr. Burnett is married to her husband of twenty-two years and has four children and two stepchildren. In her spare time, Dr. Burnett loves swimming and watching NFL games as an avid Chicago Bears fan.
