Felicity graduated from Chaddock’s residential program.   She sent this letter to say ‘thank you’ to all of the staff who helped on her journey to healing.

“First, I want to say that I am so grateful for the people at Chaddock who helped make my time there so productive. Upon arriving on my first day, I never would have believed the change that would come from spending a year and a half there. Of course, while I was there I would probably tell a completely different story. That said, it wasn’t until after I left that I realized just how much Chaddock really changed, and ultimately saved my life.

My time there was not easy, and there were many times where I wanted to give up trying. However, it was always made very clear that that was not an option. I had to work very hard to earn the privileges I had and participate in the opportunities presented to me. I was so fortunate to have all of the support that I did during rough times. In the end, I knew that all of the difficulties were necessary for future success. I am so thankful for everyone who never failed to encourage me and push me forward.

Currently, I am a high school senior taking only community college classes. My most exciting course is my EMT course. In the future, I plan to attend medical school so training as an EMT is a great way to gain hands-on experience. I have been spending my time doing the things I love with the people I love and it feels great to be able to say that. I can honestly say that I am on the path to a successful future and I have so many amazing people at Chaddock to thank for that.”
