Residential Program

Chaddock's residential program, located on our 30 acre campus in the heart of a midwestern community, provides a holistic, nurturing environment focused on helping children restore the ability to form trusting relationships. In each of our five cottage settings, children work with therapists, counselors and staff to overcome severe behavioral challenges as a result of painfully traumatic pasts. Our goal is to offer parents and children the tools they need to build cohesive and loving relationships.

A child’s stay in the residential program can be from 12 – 18 months. Parents are involved in weekly therapy sessions and quarterly meetings with the Treatment Team. Working with therapists and family service coordinator, parents are encouraged to visit and phone their children on a regular basis. In addition, parents receive information and recommendations from the Treatment Team on strategies for success once their child returns home.

Chaddock School

While receiving treatment in our residential program, children can attend Chaddock’s accredited, on-campus special education school. Our school serves both children in our residential programs and local students who haven’t found success in traditional public school settings.

Community students at Chaddock School often have emotional or learning challenges that can no longer be addressed within their local school district. Our teachers are special education-certified and trained in trauma-informed interventions, creating a supportive and understanding environment for all learners.

For residential children, there’s also the option to attend the local public school if it’s a better fit academically or behaviorally.
