Transitional Services
Provides support and life skills training for youth, ages 14 - 21, to enhance their independent living skills. Students are given the opportunity to participate in intermediate and advanced life skills classes which include finding and maintaining housing, money management and job preparation.

Three basic services are offered to youth through the Transitional Services program:

  • Assessment Testing - Youth are given the Daniel Memorial Life Skills Assessment Test, which provides a comprehensive report of students' areas of strength and their knowledge of life skills, as well as areas for improvement.
  • Life Skills Training - Youth are given the opportunity to participate in both intermediate and advanced life skill classes. These classes offer knowledge in money management, obtaining employment, health care and sexuality, decision making, problem solving skills and transportation.
  • Transitional Case Management Services - This service provides assistance to youth in the life skills training classes, as well as additional one-on-one training for those clients who require.
