Giving to Help Children

In-Kind Gifts
Many of the children who come to Chaddock do not have appropriate clothing or the personal supplies needed on a daily basis. These children can go to "Grandma Geisler's Closet" -- our own "store" lovingly stocked and run by volunteers. Students visit the closet and select, at no charge, the clothing, shoes and personal supplies they need.

Chaddock accepts donations of new clothing, including underwear and socks, shoes, and personal supplies such as soap and shampoo. "Grandma's Top Ten List" of items most frequently needed by our youth include:

  1. Deodorant/Antiperspirant - Solid Stick
  2. Ankle Cut Athletic Socks (Size 10 to 13/All White)
  3. White T-Shirts (Adult L or XL)
  4. Bath Towels and Wash Cloths
  5. Liquid Antibacterial Soap/Dove Soap
  6. Shampoo/Conditioner
  7. Toothpaste/toothbrushes
  8. Hair Brushes and Combs
  9. Kleenex
  10. Monetary donations to be used towards the purchase of special items

In-kind gifts can be sent to:

For tax deduction purposes, in-kind gifts and services require a declaration of value by the donor.

Memorial Gifts can be given in memory of a deceased friend or family member, keeping their caring influence alive in the life of a Chaddock child. An acknowledgment of the gift will be sent to the family of the deceased, and a remembrance will be listed in Chaddock's quarterly newsletter, The Chaddock Connection. The amount of the gift is not shared.

Living Honor Gifts are a tribute to someone still here to enjoy your love and appreciation through a gift for Chaddock children. They may be given to recognize special occasions such as a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, to express gratitude, or "just because." The individual receiving the tribute will receive a written acknowledgment of the gift, and the occasion will be listed in Chaddock's quarterly newsletter, The Chaddock Connection. The amount of the gift is not shared.

Gifts can be designated for current operational needs, the endowment fund, the building fund, or any particular program or service.

The Chaddock Children's Foundation and Chaddock are the legal names of the two not-for-profit organizations supporting Chaddock children.
