Overnight YouthWorkers - job description

Youth Worker

Duties:

• Provide a safe and secure environment for the cottages
• Monitor and provide bed checks on the clients residing in the cottage
• Provide and develop a positive and caring environment for children in their morning routine
• Complete assigned paperwork and filing in an accurate and timely manner
• Responsible for light housekeeping in the cottage

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with youth.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Youth Counselor

Duties:

• Provide individual and group counseling
• Provide a safe and secure environment for the cottage
• Provide and develop a positive and caring environment for children
• Provide treatment in a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment
• Manage medication distribution
• Complete assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
• Supervise family visitation
• Responsible for light housekeeping in the cottage
• Actively participate in, monitor, and document the daily lives of assigned clients

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) in a field of Human Services from a four-year college or university, or 5 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with youth.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
