Community Services

Outpatient Diagnostic Assessment
This program provides a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for referred clients within 45 days, which results in recommendations for appropriate services. Evaluations may include the following components based on each individual case and is provided by a master's level therapist and an experienced client service coordinator.

  • Completion of a clinical assessment of the child and family, including a narrative summary and a preliminary psychiatric diagnosis of the child, and preparation of a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation summary.
  • Contacts with appropriate caseworkers, parents/caretakers, teachers, and other appropriate individuals.
  • Evaluation of parenting skills of parents/caretakers by interview, completion of the Parent Stress Index and observation.
  • Review of medical history/Health Passport.
  • Behavior evaluation profiles
  • Possible Referral for Psychological testing
  • Possible referral for a comprehensive school psychological evaluation by a licensed school psychologist.
  • Possible referral to other clinical diagnostic evaluations.

A written narrative will summarize the results of the components of the evaluation, provide a psychiatric diagnosis based on DSM-IVR, and recommend needed services.
